New solutions for online appointments and patient engagement

The current Pracsoft Online Appointments system will cease to operate as of 28 February 2018. From this date, you will no longer be able to use PracSoft Online Appointments for patient bookings.

We have been working to find you the best alternative solutions, and we are happy to recommend two accredited secure online patient engagement partners, HotDoc and AutoMed.

What does that mean for you and your practice?

As of 28 February, you will need an alternative online appointment provider if you wish to continue allowing patients to book online.

It does mean there will be changes to the cost of this service, however with the extended patient engagement services offered by both HotDoc and AutoMed. this may work out favourably for you.

What are your options?

MedicalDirector recommends transitioning to HotDoc or AutoMed, both of which are accredited patient engagement partners. Both partners also include additional patient engagement services, which may be of interest to your practice.

Should you choose not to switch to one of our accredited online appointment providers, your patients will no longer be able to book via your website.

What are the costs?

The pricing structure for HotDoc and AutoMed differ to that of the current Pracsoft Online Appointments. Rather than charging per appointment, both solutions offer a per doctor or per month pricing model, giving you an unlimited number of online bookings. For specific costs, please contact HotDoc and AutoMed directly.

It does mean that you will not accumulate a rebate on your PracSoft renewal however any rebate that you have accumulated to date will be honoured and will automatically be deducted from your next PraSoft renewal.

What you need to do?

We encourage you to have a read and select your online appointments provider of choice as soon as possible to ensure that the transition is seamless. Your new provider will assist you with on-boarding and will ensure you are up and running as soon as possible to avoid disruptions for patient bookings via your website.
