This step should be completed on each workstation on which practitioners will use their iKeys/Smartcards - tokens.

1.      Download the Rainbow iKey driver from http://c3.safenet-inc.com/ikeyESC.asp

2.      Ensure that any other applications are closed. Locate and run the IKEYDRVR file you downloaded.

3.      Follow the iKey Driver installation wizard prompts to install the driver.

4.      Once the installation is complete you will be prompted to restart your computer. Select 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now' and click the Finish button.

5.      Once the PC has rebooted, you may wish to change the password for each iKey. If so, insert the relevant iKey, navigate to the Start menu\Programs\Rainbow Technologies\iKey 2000 Series Software and click on password Utility. Follow the prompts.

6.      The iKeys are used during the Preparation/Authorisation of the claims. The Practitioners will be prompted to insert their keys into a USB port on the computer. This will automatically register their iKeys.

7.      (Optional) If you intend to use individual certificates, ensure that in the Practitioner Details window you tick the Individual Signing check box.
