Maintenance User Guide
Dictionary Manager

The Dictionary Manager allows you to indicate which dictionaries are used for conducting spelling checks in Clinical, as well as managing the global Custom Dictionary.

Accessing the Dictionary Manager

1.      Locate and double-click the MedicalDirector Maintenance icon  from your desktop. The MedicalDirector Maintenance window appears.

2.      Select the Database Tasks > MedicalDirector Clinical menu item.

 

3.      Double-click  

If this is the first time you have tried to run the Dictionary Manager during this session of working in MedicalDirector Maintenance, you will be prompted to select a Configuration, and enter your Username and Password.   

 

4.      The Dictionary Manager appears.

Setting Active Dictionaries

Click to indicate the dictionaries you wish to use for spell-checking in Clinical.

Note that this is a per-user setting.

 

Managing the Custom Dictionary

Click to edit the global custom dictionary.

o      Add new words to the dictionary by typing the word, and clicking  

o      Remove words by selecting them and clicking
