Clinical User Guide

A Shared Health Summary is a clinical document sourced from the patient's nominated provider, which contains key pieces of information about a patient's health status and is useful to a wide range of healthcare providers in assessing individuals and delivering care. The content of a SHS will vary depending on the individual, and the information available.

The author of a shared health summary must be a medical practitioner, registered nurse, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker. The user record must therefore be configured top indicate one of those roles in order for them to upload shared health summaries
