o      The Medicare Online Claim Authorisation - New Claim window is only displayed if you have attempted to save or store a new or un-transmitted claim.

o      Once the Medicare Online Claim Authorisation - New Claim window appears complete the steps below.

1.      The authorisation method will default to the one selected for the Practitioner at the "Practitioner Setup", but this can be changed by selecting the method from the drop-down list.

If the chosen method is to use the Location certificate, click to start the authorisation of the claim.

2.      Enter the password for the Practitioner's i-Key.

3.      Select the Practitioner Declaration check box to confirm you have read the Practitioner Declaration.

4.      To view the Practitioner Declaration, click

5.      Select the HCI Token check box to confirm you have inserted your Practitioner i-Key into the USB port of the computer.

6.      click to start the authorisation of the claim.
